For Pregnancy, Birth and Babies
Welcome to Babymoon
My name is Samantha Lealman and I am happy to see you here.
Having a baby can be the most amazing and life changing experience, one that we should cherish for the
rest of our lives. All children bring challenges, but also the greatest love, happiness and sense of fulfilment.
As a qualified midwife I have over 27 years’ experience within the NHS and in private practice. During this time, I rotated into all areas. More recently I made a choice to let go of my registration with the NMC. This has been a radical act of self care and I am now looking forward to enjoying the next chapter of my life.
I have rotated into all hospital and community midwifery areas including specialist roles in breastfeeding support and information, Sure Start, the Family Nurse Partnership and with Neighbourhood Midwives.
More recently I have been working in the See, Hear, Respond Project; funded by Bardardo's to support families during the pandemic.
I am also a qualified Hypnobirthing and Baby Massage instructor, as well as a life coach with motivational interviewing skills.
I strongly believe that pregnancy and birth are normal healthy states for women and their partners. I want all families to have a safe and satisfying journey that gives their baby a calm, warm welcome into the world.
Once here children need to be loved and nurtured and parents need to feel they are supported by a community.
I hope that my services will give parents the opportunity to get the things they need to really enjoy the whole 'becoming a parent' experience. I want parents to be supported and well informed so they can feel confident that they are making the right choices for themselves and their family.
This private practice has been developed to give you a little more time and a little bit extra. I look forward to helping you on your unique journey into parenthood.
Parenting Support and Information
Hypnobirthing - Baby Massage - Bumps and Babies - One-2-One Support
I am working in-line with Government Guidance on support groups for new parents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Both my venue and services have risk management policies and guidelines that have oversight by the London Borough of Waltham Forest, (and the Church from whom I book the venue).
These face-2-face services will have small class sizes so please book early to avoid disappointment.
A Complete Preparation for Birth

partners are positively welcomed at no extra cost and will receive the training and education to feel confident in offering the support that is needed at that all important time. This fun and interactive course will give you a lot of laughs and a way to meet other parent's-to be.
Baby Massage Course
Here for You
5 sessions over 5 weeks, each lasting 1 hour.
At Winchester Road Methodist Chuch, Highams Park, E4 9JP.
Each week we will learn how to massage a different part of your baby's body so that by week 5 you will be able to give your baby a full body massage. We will also explore common parenting themes like crying and soothing babies, infant attachment and early play and development. This friendly social group will give you time to refresh and relax from the busy 24 hour hands-on life of new parents. Come and relax in the company of new friends; and share your parenting experiences.
Bumps and Babies Group
Face-2-Face - outdoors and socially distanced
Informative and Compassionate
In response to the first Covid-19 Lockdown I started running this
group on-line for my parents to enjoy. This has now become a
face-2-face group - outdoors and socially distanced. We meet every Thursday at 10.00am, outside Humphrey's Cafe in the Highams Park, IG8 9RF. We are coming together in a spirit of community. The sessions are group led so parents bring topics to explore. Each week there will be time to check-in on our experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenting during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a time to relax with friends and explore parenting themes around our own health and well-being as well as child development. Most importantly we are coming together to keep our friendships going and have some laughs.
Face -2-Face and Online
If you need a little more time and a little more space to explore themes related to pregnancy, birth and parenting, I am here to offer support.
If you would like to connect with an experienced professional that you can get to know and trust, then please reach out for an informal chat. We can find out together if we are a good match.
I am experienced in offering support and information in varied circumstances.
Dates and times can be arranged flexibly so that they work for both of us. Please use the contact form below to get in touch.
